Disney Fantasy Arrives in Port Canaveral

Early this morning, locals and cast members welcomed Disney Cruise Lines newest ship, the Disney Fantasy to her new port at Port Canaveral. After a star and glamour embraced event in New York’s big Apple, the Disney Fantasy pulls in for her preparation of the maiden voyage she will take full of Disney fans, media, and travel experts. In New York she was graced by the likes of Niel Patrick Harris, Jerry Sienfeld, Nancy Grace, and of course the newest god mother of the Disney Fantasy Mariah Carey.

The Disney Fantasy will begin sailing on March 31st of 2012 to itineraries in the Caribbean.

Welcome Home Disney Fantasy!

Building on the classic style of her sister ship, the Disney Dream, the Disney Fantasy™ is the regal fourth cruise liner in the expanding Disney Cruise Line fleet. This 130,000-ton vessel offers:

  • 14 towering decks
  • 1,250 staterooms
  • The capacity to comfortably accommodate 4,000 passengers—along with the over 1,450 Cast and Crew Members who tend to the needs of every cruise Guest each day
  • Total ship length of 1,115 feet and a maximum width of 125 feet

The Disney Fantasy will start out with two itinerary’s:

Itinerary A will go to the eastern Caribbean visiting St Martin, St Thomas and Disney’s Private Island of Castaway Cay.

Itinerary B will go to the  western Caribbean and will visit Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Castaway Cay.

Both have two days at sea.
